Opening Paragraph

Poor Man’s Promotions, based out of Kinde, Michigan had their final show of the year at Circus Park Hall in Clio, Michigan, Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th, 2009. P*JET * IMAGES also had their final show of 2009 at Circus Park hall, and boy was our baskets filled with abundance from God Almighty!

Location

Circus Park Hall is located on Wilson Road, east of Linden Road off the Clio/Montrose exit of I-75. It is nestled on a rural road, and as its name suggests, is located on a site that is fit for a circus. There is a statue of a Shriner erected in front of their hall, the parking spaces designate places for individuals such as the Ring Master, the Chaplin, and others affiliated with the circus. The land is large and wide, with plenty of parking, albeit not close to the hall, but parking nonetheless.

Turnout

Turnout for the show indicated that the company advertised beyond what we were able to see, meaning the road signs off I-75 and around Clio. Both mornings were filled with browsers who later came back in the afternoon, or after sitting down at the picnic tables for food served by our hosts. Afternoons were quite steady, but not overwhelming. Each aisle was at least six feet wide, as per required by the fire marshals, and were strictly enforced by our hosts.

Sales

P*JET * IMAGES was blessed with abundance! On Saturday, we sold 6 children’s poetry books and 1 copy of Adventures in Raoolia. On Sunday, we sold 11 children’s poetry books, 3 copies of Adventures in Raoolia, and one of Pam’s Animal Art Calendar. Unfortunately, not everyone in the show received God’s blessing, as several vendors were interested in our products, but did not make enough to warrant a purchase, leading most of the room to begin tearing down their booths ten minutes before the official end of the Sunday Show.

Overall Review

As I stated to the owners, we give the show a thumb’s up. Due to the economic crisis in this state and the level of unemployment, there still was quite a turnout and we stated to the promoters that we would be interested in returning. They gave us some locations that often produce abundant sales that we will take into account when planning 2010. It was great to go out with a BOOM at the end of 2009, instead of a BUST, and we owe our financial success to God Almighty Himself. Praise and Glory to God, for prospering us in 2009 and beyond.
