Dick Cheny vs. Barak Obama

I find it very interesting that we live in a time when a former Vice President and a sitting President can go on live television and argue about a topic so fundamental to our country, and arrive a different conclusions. The so-called Bush Doctrine of the last eight years has been disrupted by the Obama Administration, and the very things that people called for during the election is being debated in the media.

How may political pundants have gone on the air in the last 9 years and have called for a definition of torture? How many years did the American People have to suffer under a man who, in my opinion, was led around by a leash by the very man defending Bush's decisions?

I have long believed that Dick Cheney has been running this country for the last eight years, and my suspicions are reinforced by the fact that he, not George W. Bush, is defending Bush's decisions. It seems to me that Dick Cheney, who was hold up in numerous undisclosed locations during the last years, couldn't take time out of his day to defend the immoral decisions that were occurring during the last eight years, yet now, when he is a private citizen and can't be voted out of office, he suddenly finds time to speak his mind.

Perhaps there is truth to the rumor that he was behind this whole war, for it is really hard to defend something that you don't believe in. I believe that Dick Cheney is the reason why our troops are in Iraq. I believe that he disagreed with George Bush Senior back in the '90's about taking out Saddam, and that he made up for it by manipulating George W. Bush into going into Iraq.

Now that he no longer has the reigns of this country, he should quietly retire, and go back to his undisclosed location, and give the decision to replace his doctrine of war with a doctrine of peace, time to grow.
