This week, Miss California has been told that she can keep her crown, after some controversy about some photographs that surfaced, taken when she was seventeen years old (she is now 22). She has stated that she is a professional model and she is fully clothed in those pictures, and that the images were released without her permission.
The Miss American Pagent has cleared her of any wrongdoing and Miss California and Donald Trump appeared on Good Morning America this morning to trumpet their victory. You may remember that Miss California lost the Miss America competition after she answered a question about the definition of marriage. The openly gay judge didn't agree with her statements and voted against her. Miss California has since defended her stance that marriage is between a man and a woman, and clarified that it was what she was raised to believe, and that she meant no offence to anyone.
