At the end of December, 2009, P*JET * IMAGES secured a piece of equipment that will help us perfect bind books. If you don't know, perfect bound books are the soft-cover, paperback books where the cover is glued directly to the edges of the interior pages of the book.
For over a year, I perused the internet to find instructions to make perfect bound books. The dilemma is that Adventures in Raoolia Edition 2 is manufactured by a third party. This third party charges us a relatively high cost to print the books, which forces us to charge $15.00 for our product. But the cost isn't the main issue. The main issue is that the fonts that I want to have in the story do not carry over to the book printer, which forced me to compromise my original vision for the book. Also, I wanted full color maps and images inside the book, but it was cost prohibitive.
Then I found my supplier who not only had instructions, but sold equipment to aid the process of binding. In November 2009, we purchased the instructions, and at the end of December, we purchased the equipment.
P*JET * IMAGES, as of right now, is perfecting the manufacturing process for the perfect bound books that it is about to release onto the craftshow market. We are very excited to finally be able to bind our own books, opening the door to establishing our publishing wing of P*JET * IMAGES and to help others publish their own books.
