The Epic of Cougran - Adventures in Raoolia is an attempt to recreate the novel. In today's world, we live in a visual entertainment atmosphere that has sophisticated action, edits to alleviate long areas of boring narration, and computer graphics to create entire new worlds!
My efforts toward writing these series of stories is to target young adults with an illustrated novel with adult levels of violence, concepts like 'absolute power corrupts absolutely', and of course, action and adventure!
The Adventures in Raoolia and subsequent stories will be subdivided into groups of chapters called books, which I'm borrowing from the Christian Bible. Each group is designed to be published on its own, if finances dictate that approach. Each story, when they are finished, will be available for sale on my website, http://www.pjetimages.com.
Each individualized book will only have the text of the story, which is the preference to many readers. When the entire novel is put together, it will have a combination of computer graphics, painted illustrations, and paintings.
Over time, this world will grow, and many 'novels' of stories will spiral outward, many exploring the lives of the people who are caught into the web of Adventures in Raoolia. There will be back stories, stories about the society, explorations into their sexual lives, pre-historic stories of wild Tigrens ripping apart whole villages of Carcalians, the establishment of the Tigren Academies, and more!
